Last night, Jack White staged a detailed, theatrical secret show in London with help from the Punchdrunk Theatre Group. White background for the show’s concept around his latest album, Lazaretto, which is defined as an isolation hospital for people with infectious diseases.
During the show, fans were given blue medical gowns to change into and eventually quarantined in a smoke-filled chamber. According to the Guardian, White then played a 30-minute set, which included “Lazaretto,” and The White Stripes’ “Dead Leaves on the Dirty Ground” and “St. James Infirmary Blues.” To finish off the crazy night, White eventually succumbed to a mysterious disease and was strapped to a stretcher and taken away by an ambulance.
At the end of the show, fans were left with the gift of a personalized “prescription” from “Dr. White.” Photos from this post are from White’s label- “Third Man Records”
