Album #12: The Scariest Part – Little Pintos

By Christopher Lepore, Staff Writer

This is the second EP by Little Pintos we are reviewing and have we ever been excited for more music from them!

Yesterday, Little Pintos release “The Scariest Part” and it is 17 minutes and 24 seconds of summer smash hits! The only complaint I had on their previous EP (Eight Years) was the vocals. Either I was crazy or JJ Wong (Lead Singer) has been improving everyday. The vocals on Symptoms of Something (Track 4) is a perfect example of the maturity growth since “Eight Years”. The whole group has grown in writing. The backup vocals in “For Nena” are just the perfect sound. In bands like Little Pintos, you have to utilize someone like Matt DeCaro (Bassist) and Jason Rodriguez (Drummer) in the best way and they seem to have found it.

Little Pintos released “Miss Me All The Time” as the single for the EP. This is not the biggest deal, but I feel that “Symptoms of Something” would have been the best choice. I cannot judge a band on something like this for the fact that maybe, they wanted the rest of the songs to be their big surprise.

In conclusion, “The Scariest Part”, receives a 4.3/5 rating! Check out below for the last Little Pintos EP we reviewed and for all of the bands Social Media contacts!
